Shadows (1959)
Innovative.

The Italian Job (1969)
Lighthearted.

Last Tango in Paris (1973)
Steamy.

Affliction (1998)
Depressing.

The Place Beyond the Pines (2013)
Unsettling.

  1. Yay, another one of your cool series :D I've only seen the remake of Italian Job, but lighthearted eh? I didn't expect that. But Last Tango in Paris is DEFINITELY steamy :D I think I heard somewhere that Brando's co-star wasn't exactly fond of him during filming?

    1. That is right...she wasn't fond of the director either. Appears she felt they were exploiting her. They kind of were ;-)

    2. @ruth: Yeah, the original version of The Italian Job is a crime comedy, unlike the remake. As far as the Last Tango situation goes, what Fisti said. :)

@Fisti: Ha, you beat me to it. :)

    1. Haha. I almost did! It was the first word that popped in my head. :) Decided to go with something more generic for anyone who hasn't seen it.
