November Oscar Predictions

Is Christian Bale a serious threat for Best Actor?

It's only a month before SAG and the Golden Globes announce their nominees, and I'm sure they'll give us a better idea of what to expect from the Academy in January. Vice appears to be a solid Best Picture contender now, while Green Book and BlacKkKlansman feel vulnerable. And I'm starting to think First Man could miss, especially if Mary Poppins Returns really does charm voters. Though, it's likely Roma vs. A Star is Born in the end. 1. First Man, IMO is only going to hit the sound categories and nowhere else. Maybe Claire Foy in Supporting, but that's it.

I cannot accept a Best Actress line up that does not involve Carey Mulligan for Wildlife. lol

    1. Sadly, I think you're right about First Man missing the major categories now. Unless the guilds resurrect it.

Ugh, Wildlife didn't play near me. I'm hoping I'll get a screener before I vote on the Spirit Awards.

  2. Mary Poppins Returns may get some major nominations but I will be rooting for ASIB to win everything :)
