DeleteGreat idea to rank them Josh! I only did 10 out of the 12 I planned on for this year, but after I posted the 10th review, I will do a Blindspot recap as well. Hey, just a suggestion, would you link the photo to the review instead of the image itself? :D

DeleteGreat idea for a list! You could even improve on the post by linking to your reviews. Just a thought. I've seen 8 here. Totoro is probably my fav of them, with Solaris 2nd and Close-Up 3rd. That top 3 might change if I rewatched them though.
ReplyDeleteI managed 11 out of 12 of my blind spots. I enjoyed most of them, although Castle in The Sky (1986) underwhelmed me, and Birth of a Nation was a bit of a struggle to get through , so they would be near the end of my ranking. Story of Film by Mark Cousins would be 1st, with Come and See, Malcolm X, and Das Boot in 2nd , 3rd, and 4th

DeleteI haven't seen Story of Film, but I love that Come and See, Malcolm X and Das Boot would be that high on your list.
I'm saddened to say I've only seen two of these (My Neighbor Totoro and Man on Wire), but I love them both, especially Miyazaki. Nice ranking, I'll be sure to check the rest of the films out soon!
