Ranking the Best Picture Oscar Lineups of the 1990s


I finally saw Awakenings and Ghost, so here are the 90's Best Picture lineups ranked. If you missed it, I ranked the 00's last year. Note: Winners are in bold and pictured.

10. 1995

Nominees: Apollo 13, Babe, Braveheart, Il Postino: The Postman, Sense and Sensibility

9. 1990

Nominees: Awakenings, Dances with Wolves, Ghost, The Godfather Part III, Goodfellas

8. 1991

Nominees: Beauty and the Beast, Bugsy, JFK, The Prince of Tides, The Silence of the Lambs

7. 1996

Nominees: The English Patient, Fargo, Jerry Maguire, Secrets & Lies, Shine

6. 1992

  1. There are always so many titles I haven't seen when it comes to Oscar noms of the past. Good Will Hunting is great though and Titanic is one of my guilty pleasures so I guess 1997 is a good choice.

  3. Ok, this is such an awesome idea...and I've seen all of these too so maybe I'll do it!!!

    I'd have to give this some serious thought. Most of these years I have strong feelings towards all nominees...strong love and strong hate! This will be hard to compile thoughts on.
