12 Years a Slave triumphed with a total of 3 wins. |
Well, the Oscars turned out to be very predictable, but the ceremony was very enjoyable overall. Everything went as many expected, with Alfonso Cuarón winning multiple awards for Gravity and 12 Years a Slave managing to win Best Picture. I predicted 20/24 categories correctly, and 24/24 if you include alternates. (I missed Best Picture, Best Film Editing, Best Live Action Short Film and Best Animated Short Film.) Despite the lack of upsets, it's been a fun Oscar season, and I'm already looking forward to next year.

Agree winners were predictable. 20/24 is pretty good going! I did one better with 21/24. In hindsight I wish I had put money on it, did you place a bet on anything?
ReplyDeleteI got three categories wrong: Film Editing, Short Film (Animated), & Documentary
Great job! I did better than last year, but I didn't place a bet on anything.
DeleteI got 18/24 including my "should wins" I didn't see The Great Gatsby, so I didn't think about it actually winning. Whoops.
ReplyDeleteThat's great, especially since an upset somewhere was expected. Several people blanked on Gatsby, but I'm still a little surprised that it actually won.
DeleteYou did awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I wished I'd jumped on the 12 Years bandwagon!
