  1. That's quite a lot of change! Nice to see The Decalogue (1989) so high up. I considered Chungking Express for my top 100. Can't argue with adding The Tree of Life & Wild Strawberries ! I saw Rashomon recently, and while it is great story device, I wouldn't have it in top 100 either. Adding The Set-Up to my watchlist.

If you loved Mona Lisa (1986), you should check out The Long Good Friday (1980), which is also in Criterion Collection, and Bob Hoskins' breakthrough performance.

    1. Yeah, it's actually the same amount of new films that I added in October. My list is always changing, except the top 5-8 are pretty solid right now. :) Hope you like The Set-Up. It's an interesting film noir told in real time about an aging boxer who is supposed to throw a big fight.

I've had The Long Good Friday on my watchlist for a while, so I need to give it a look soon.

  3. I see The Apartment still landed the top spot. ;-) I'll get around the watching it one of these days.

I appreciate the fact that you've turned me on to so many fascinating movies that weren't on my radar, such as Eyes Wide Shut and the Three Colors Trilogy.

    1. Haha. The top 5-8 picks are pretty solid, but I fluctuate on the rest. :) Take your time. Know you're busy. Hope all is going well with your projects and activities with your family.

Thanks! I'm glad you like them. There are several films you've introduced me to that I'd never heard of either. Speaking of which, I finally watched Kes, and I loved it. It'll be present on my 1969 ballot on Friday. :)

    2. I'm glad you liked Kes. Sarah introduced me to that one, and I feel it's tragically overlooked and underrated. Have you seen Sweet Sixteen?

    3. Love the style of the film. Can't wait to check out more of Loach. I haven't seen Sweet Sixteen yet. It's on my watchlist though.
