I rewatched Mad Max: Fury Road too. It's one for the ages!
ReplyDeleteI rewatched it after the Oscar noms were announced. I still can't believe it landed 10!
DeleteI'm so glad you loved Carol. I think it's just brilliant, and Rooney and Cate are downright amazing.
ReplyDeleteThey're brilliant! Carol is going to be all over my personal film awards.
DeleteWhat did you think of Nixon in James White? I've heard she's excellent.
ReplyDeleteShe's wonderful. I wish she'd received more attention this awards season.
DeleteHi there Josh! I want to rewatch 'Madding Crowd' as I wasn't terribly wowed the first time around, though I do love Mulligan and the score. 99 Homes is excellent, definitely an A from me too. I'm curious about James White, esp about the protagonist, I forgot his name but I heard he was very good.
ReplyDeleteHi Ruth! 99 Homes is so good, and I still think Madding Crowd is a first-rate period romance, with a minor flaw in Sturridge's casting. Christopher Abbott is terrific in James White. See it if you get a chance.
DeleteYEY! So glad you liked Respire!
ReplyDeleteIt was great! :)
