What should I do next? I can either do one of the categories below, an abbreviated version of my Best Director picks, or I considered going back and revealing my complete lineup of nominees in each category that I've already done. Let me know in the comments.
Best Art Direction
Best Costume Design
Best Makeup
Best Sound

Great picks. I still need to see In the Mood for Love and Oldboy though.
DeleteYou should do complete line up! I'd love to see that. Can't believe Amelie wasn't nominated for editing.
ReplyDeleteGreat, thanks! I know, right? I had to look it up because I thought Amelie did get an editing nod.
DeleteI echo everyone, do the complete lineup! You're so good at this Josh.
DeleteOh wow, Minority Report was NOT nominated?? Eh, at least they did it right in 2008.
Thanks! I guess that's decided. :) Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to do it.
DeleteHaha, indeed.
To be honest, I don't really know the difference between great and good editing, but it's cool to learn something here! The worst editing for me is when it's too fast, so I don't know what's going on.
ReplyDeleteI'd liked to see art direction next.
I think it's subjective, so I'm not sure how much you learned. ;) Yeah, I can understand that. Some fast editing really doesn't work for me, like Quantum of Solace, but other times, like The Bourne Supremacy/Ultimatum, it works quite well.
DeleteThanks for the input. Looks like the majority wants me to do a full lineup.
Some great picks! I agree though, you should do a full lineup!
ReplyDeleteAmélie for the win!
Thanks! I LOVE Amélie!
DeleteMore solid picks here. Love seeing Traffic listed (which is one of my favorite edited films of all time), Amélie and definitely United 93. Editing was a HUGE component to making that film as compelling as it was.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
Thanks man! Knew you'd love the Traffic win. Yeah, The Departed is a VERY close runner-up in 2006, but I couldn't ignore the work on United 93.
