June Oscar Predictions

Will Scorsese's Silence crash this year's Oscar race?

It appears that Scorsese's passion project Silence might be on the 2015 slate, so I've added it to my predictions across the board. Still, I've little confidence in some of these picks. I'm sure we're in for a surprise contender or two in a few months.

    1. We'll see, but you might be right. Still, I'm skeptical about these kinds of movies at the Oscars these days. I wonder if Bridge of Spies could be this year's Argo.

  4. Almost all of our Best Director predictions are identical. Instead of Scorsese, I have O. Russell. I also have Alicia Vikander for Danish Girl, but in Supporting. While I am sure she is great in that, it would be amazing if she were a contender for Ex Machina.

    1. Russell could happen, as could Vikander in Supporting. I'd love for her to get some recognition for Ex Machina, but I doubt it will happen.
