Five Films in Five Words #8

Here's a group of films I watched for my upcoming 1957 ballot this week.

The Cranes are Flying
Devastating.

Les Girls
Delightful.

The Prince and the Showgirl
Fluffy.

Saint Joan
Imperfect.

Throne of Blood
Impressive.

  1. Throne of Blood is amazing, quintessential Kurosawa. The rest I haven't seen although Olivier does sort of look like Kenneth Branagh. Wow, Branagh was indeed perfect to play Olivier in My Week with Marilyn.

    1. Throne of Blood was great, but it's probably my least favorite Kurosawa film so far. Yeah, Branagh was perfectly cast.
