  1. So combining the two categories, all of your predictions except one made the list. Well done! ;-)

Of all the movies in this post, I've only seen MIB 3 & Marigold Hotel. When I get over being sick, I need to make an effort to get out and see a few new movies. Sadly where we live, in the backwoods of Virginia, there aren't many good theaters. :-)

    1. Thanks! I was hoping Holy Motors could sneak into Original Song. Oh well. Makeup and Hairstyling is still a possibility.

Well, I haven't even seen Men in Black 2 yet, so don't feel bad. ;)

    2. The MIB movies probably aren't great cinema, but they're a lot of fun. Tommy Lee Jones & Will Smith play off each other very well, and the aliens are imaginatively conceived and just freaking cool. Plus they're among a handful of movies my whole family -- including my action/comedy buff husband, my arthouse film loving daughter, and the two younger kids -- ALL enjoy. So that's always a treat.

    3. Yeah, I enjoyed the first one, but I somehow missed the sequel. If MIB 3 gets nominated, I'll definitely finish the trilogy ASAP.

  2. Glad to see Skyfall making the list in both categories! I hope Zimmer gets nominated for TDKR.

  3. Thanks for these! I was wondering whether TDKR would be eligible, since it is mostly taken from what Zimmer and Howard did with the other films. Alas, I'd be stoked if it made the cut!

Plus, I like how 'Ladies of Tampa' from Magic Mike is eligible. Maybe Matthew McConaughey will get two Oscar noms this year :P
