Due to the recent passing of James Horner, I thought it appropriate to choose one of the Oscar-winning composer's lesser known movie songs, instead of "My Heart Will Go On". However, I've gone for a track featured in another Best Picture winner. Featuring vocals from Charlotte Church, my pick this week is "All Love Can Be" from A Beautiful Mind. The song seems like the perfect Oscar ballad, but it failed to get any attention at the Academy Awards that year. Check it out below. R.I.P. Mr. Horner.
OMG!!! I love this song so much! It was this film that sparked my short lived OBSESSION with Charlotte Church. I remember searching everywhere for this song, even buying her albums at Wal-Mart but couldn't find this particular track. Such a beautiful song.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely track. I can't believe AMPAS passed on it!
DeleteHe had so many scores, but yeah, also a great amount of tender movie songs. Great call here. I like this one a lot, as well as "Listen to the Wind" from The New World.
ReplyDeleteThanks buddy. His work on The New World is stunning.
