Movie Song of the Week

This week I’ve chosen an original song from Danny Boyle’s underrated psychological thriller Trance. Composed by Emeli Sandé and Rick Smith, “Here It Comes” really leaves a mark when it appears in the film. Unfortunately, the movie bombed at the box office, and despite Sandé’s beautiful vocals, the song was completely overlooked during the awards season. Check out the track below. (There’s also a longer version.)

  1. UGH, I need to see this movie already! It's a great song, and I know it's your Song Winner (ineligible for the Fistis since I haven't seen the flick).

    1. YES! See it! :) Glad you like the song. (Fingers crossed for a top 12 spot if you update the Fistis later.)

  2. I thought it was an awesome film and I actually liked that song though I'm not really a fan of Sande. Then again, I'm in my mid-30s. My taste doesn't connect with what everyone else is listening to.

    1. Glad you dig it, man! The song appears at the end of the film when Cassel is deciding whether or not to erase Dawson from his memory on the iPad. It might be used in other scenes, but the end is the main one. ;)

  4. Ooooh I've been obsessed with Emeli Sandé lately, thanks to Not Another Happy Ending for introducing me to her work w/ her song CLOWN. I like this one too!
