I’ve chosen a song this week written and performed by Mumford & Sons, though it’s not their most popular one. In 2012, the band were being campaigned for “Learn Me Right,” which they wrote for Brave. However, they also penned a lovely track called “The Enemy” for Andrea Arnold’s raw adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which was released in the U.S. that year. The film barely registered, but the song was even less touted. Check it out below.
Good song! and that's from someone who doesn't usually listen to Mumford & Sons. Nice catch!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's definitely something different from them. Glad you liked it!
DeleteI love Mumford & Sons. This is a good track, it's a shame it didn't catch on more.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of their first two albums, but I wish they didn't change their sound for Wilder Minds. Love this track, though.
DeleteYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this song, so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO GOOD!!! Rockin' those Fisti and CinSpec noms!
DeleteI've been curious to see this adaptation as it's on Amazon Prime. Great song here too, Josh!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ruth! You should check out this version. It's a less classical approach. Also, I nominate it for Best Cinematography and Best Original Song. ;)
