You put my movie watching to shame! lol
ReplyDeleteHaha. This is probably the most I've ever seen in a month.
DeleteThat's more like you. :)
ReplyDeleteI saw Kes and One. Two, Three too this month. While I had some reservations with the later, I still enjoyed it. Kes, on the other hand, was wonderful.
I really need to see Chungking Express.
Ha, I tried. :)
DeleteKes would probably make my top 100 now, but I saw it after I updated the list. Wilder's comedies aren't always well-liked (like Irma la Douce), but I just loved One, Two, Three. Of course, it was like a screwball comedy in many ways. ;)
Yes, see it!
Wow. Every month you see more and more movies while I'm stuck at 2 :P
ReplyDeleteHaha. Well, I haven't been writing a dissertation and studying for exams. ;)
DeleteChungking Express is amazing, especially second half of the film I find magical.
ReplyDeleteI was less impressed by Hiroshima Mon Amour than you-I can barely remember much about it.
Glad you liked The Marriage of Maria Braun-it's probably my favorite Fassbinder film, so far.
I agree on the second half of Chungking Express, which was brilliant.
DeleteYeah, I can see that. I liked the story, and Riva's performance was excellent.
It's my favorite too, but it's also the only Fassbinder film I've seen. ;)
Chungking was the first Kar Wai film I saw and it remains my least favorite. I just didn't care much for it. I love everything else he's done (outside of Blueberry Nights).
ReplyDeleteInteresting. It was my second (after seeing My Blueberry Nights years ago), and I loved it. In the Mood for Love and Days of Being Wild were great, but this is my favorite so far. I need to catch up on the rest of his work.
DeleteIt's incredible how many movies you watch Josh! I'm so jealous. Nice to see such an eclectic list though, boy I still haven't got around to sooo many movies you listed here.
ReplyDeleteI think it's record month for me! :) Haha, I always feel that way when I visit other blogs. :)
