I've updated this year with two new categories (Best Urban Contemporary Album and Song), and I even have a new Album of the Year winner. Check out my new ballot below.
Note: You can click on the images to enlarge them.
Who is this DIANA group?!?! How did they win ALBUM OF THE YEAR and not take Best New Artist? WHAT?!?!
I need to listen to that album, but I've already made ALL the images for the 2013 Mouthis and I don't want to remake them.
LOL
LOVE the love for Beyonce and the Miley win (because you know she slays at the Mouthis but she...doesn't win that award!)...but where the #$%# is Gin Wigmore!?!?!
LOL, Dahlia pretty much had Best New Artist on lockdown, but DIANA's album really grew on me. It's a brilliant little album.
Knew you'd love those mentions. ;) Gin Wigmore barely missed in a few categories. She was THIS close. It didn't help that I listened to Blood Orange and DIANA, who both knocked her out of Best Alternative Album.
I'm intrigued by your new Album of the Year winner, especially as Perpetual Surrender features the sax player from Destroyer's Kaputt(my #1 album of the decade so far)

Cupid Deluxe is like...amazing...but I have it in Dance/Electronica ;-)
DeleteI think it's a bit too varied stylistically for a D/E classification, but I love that it makes one of your lineups. :)

ReplyDeleteHope you get a chance to check it out, Chris. It took me a few listens, but I LOVE it now.
