After watching almost 20 new films and rewatching some other ones from 1999, I've updated my ballot with images for every category. Some of my lineups have changed, which will reflect in the new images. For instance, I moved my lead actress winner to the supporting category, so I have a new Best Actress winner. You know we've been talking about this particular year for like months now, so I'm so happy to finally see these. Love that our Actress category is 4/5 right now. Belmont is such an inspired win.

DeleteI liked Angela's Ashes, but it's VERY depressing. If you can handle about 2 and a half hours of a boy growing up poor in Ireland, then I'd recommend it.

DeleteYeah, I agree The Talented Mr. Ripley holds up to rewatching, it's my #10 of 1999. Entertaining movie, kind of like taking a trip to Italy by following the characters. I'm glad you give it a nom for cinematography

DeleteThe War Zone... man. Man. What a movie. The older I get, the more I love Eyes Wide Shut. Definitely my favorite movie of this great, great year.
ReplyDeleteI'll always admire Tim Roth for getting The War Zone made, as well as the cast for those performances. Eyes Wide Shut is in my top 10 of all time. It's a film I just can't shake.
