  1. LOVE these random Oscar lists! Great compilation. How did I know you'd list Bogart's win? I actually LOATHE that performance so much, but he did so much great work before (and after) that his win isn't too sour. I just wish he had won for something more deserving.

    1. Thanks! Haha, I don't nominate Bogart for The African Queen, but I LOVE the win, since it made him an Oscar winner. I really wish he'd won for Casablanca.

  3. I had no idea Walt Disney wins an Honorary Oscar for creating Mickey Mouse! I love this kind of trivia stuff Josh. And yay for Casablanca, Peck & Hepburn winning in 'Mockingbird' & 'Roman Holiday.' Hepburn beat him to that Oscar despite being a newcomer at the time, that's amazing. Oh and The Philadelphia Story is in my Blind Spot, at least I think it is, can't wait to see that one!

  4. Great list here, man. Personally I'd have The Third Man topping my list but for the most, I can't complain. Bravo! :)

  5. I LOVE the Ray Milland win for The Lost Weekend. What a brave performance.

Brando for Waterfront is tops (though he should’ve won for Streetcar as well).

2001 winning SOMETHING is good enough for me. Still can’t believe that’s Kubrick’s only Oscar though.

    1. Milland was such a deserving winner.

Brando should've won for Streetcar, but I have no problem with Bogart being an Oscar winner. ;) Though, the best male performance in '51 wasn't even nominated: Kirk Douglas in Ace in the Hole.

I'm just glad Kubrick DID get an Oscar, even if it's a lesser-known victory.
