  1. I saw a couple of these for the first time myself this year, Cleo..Canterbury...Monsieur Hulot...and Thin Blue Line. Of those I agree Line was by far the best, and best overall of the films that I've seen on your list.

    Glad to see I wasn't the only one underwhelmed by Monsieur Hulot's Holiday. It was cute but based on its reputation I expected a whole lot more.

    The only one I'd rate higher than you did is Pandora's Box which I would have rated an A- perhaps even an A.

    I still have a few of these to catch up with including the Harold Lloyd which given that grade seems like something I should move up my list to see soon.

    1. The Thin Blue Line is so good, and Safety Last! lives up to its reputation. I wanted to love Pandora's Box and Monsieur Hulot's Holiday, but I found them disappointing, particularly the latter.

  3. Great stuff man - these are some deep cuts here! The Thin Blue Line is one of the most important documentaries ever made. So glad you liked it.
