Movie Song of the Week

Joe Wright’s new origin story of Peter Pan won’t likely be a major awards player, but Pan does feature superb visuals and a couple of original songs by Lily Allen. The Grammy-nominated singer co-wrote them with Tim Rice-Oxley of the band Keane. “Something’s Not Right” is a nice little ballad that closes the film, though I don’t see any Oscar attention for it. Check out the song below, as well as the flashier “Little Soldier”.

  1. Little Soilders seems pretty decent. John Powell's scores are always amazing. I love what he did with the HTTYD movies.

  2. I didn't know Lily Allen and Keane collaborated on the Pan soundtrack. Neither of those songs strike me as oscar winners either, but they are quite nice. Thanks for sharing!

    1. I didn't know it either, but the songs have really grown on me. One of them might get a CinSpec nom. ;)
