I haven't seen Crazy Rich Asians yet, but that would be a cool nom. And Black Panther for the win would be an inspired pick. I wonder about one of the Mary films taking it though.

ReplyDeleteBest Actress is STACKED, according to the buzz there are 10+ contenders! Do you think Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade) (it looks like it has the potential to be a middle-school Lady Bird) and Carey Mulligan (Wildlife) stand a chance of noms?

DeleteI don't see Fisher or Mulligan in the race, unfortunately. In fact, I'm skeptical on Eighth Grade's chances to get a screenplay nom. But I haven't seen it yet, so I might feel differently later.
Nice work! I HOPE Widows has a better showing, but we shall see. I'm interested to see how Black Panther fares. They're going to pump so much money into that film's Oscar campaign.
