Leonardo DiCaprio gave one of 2015's best performances. |
If you missed Part 1, check it out
here. There will probably be a few shockers below, but I love the following performances.
25. Dakota Johnson, Fifty Shades of Grey
24. Blake Lively, The Age of Adaline
22. Benicio Del Toro, Sicario
21. Jennifer Lawrence, Joy
20. Michael Fassbender, Macbeth
19. Leonardo DiCaprio, The Revenant
15. Géza Röhrig, Son of Saul
13. Marion Cotillard, Macbeth
12. Tom Courtenay, 45 Years
11. Alicia Vikander, Ex Machina
10. Jason Segel, The End of the Tour
9. Saoirse Ronan, Brooklyn
8. Abraham Attah, Beasts of No Nation
7. Matthias Schoenaerts, Far from the Madding Crowd
6. Alicia Vikander, Testament of Youth
5. Ben Mendelsohn, Mississippi Grind
4. Charlotte Rampling, 45 Years
3. Tom Hanks, Bridge of Spies
Dakota Johnson is throwing me off lol. I saw most of that movie on HBO the other day and thought it was terrible.
ReplyDeleteI knew Rooney and Cate would be towards the top. Great picks!
Haha, the film is bad, but Johnson is amazing in it. Like, the film didn't deserve such a committed performance.
DeleteThanks! Rooney and Cate forever.
I don't agree with your choices for #1 & #2, but Abraham Attah gave a spectacular performance! Glad to see him so high up on the list!
ReplyDeleteAttah gave a magnificent performance, no doubt. Glad you like that choice.
DeleteLots of good stuff from what I've seen. Well, except for Dakota Johnson. Just...no, I can't...not with that one. Otherwise, great work.
ReplyDeleteThanks. LOL, I thought Johnson gave an honest, heartfelt performance in a ghastly movie. I've seen others praise her, but I know I'm in the minority. :/
DeleteYEY for Tom making the cut! I did like Hanks in BoS far more than Rylance
ReplyDeleteTom had an AMAZING year. He barely missed my Best Actor lineup. :( Hanks really impressed me on a second look, and I'd probably call it his best overall performance. (That scene in Captain Phillips would be his finest moment, though.)
DeleteI've seen 16 of these.
ReplyDeleteLove them all.
So happy Tremblay ranks so high, and that Lively made your list...and your #1 and #2...who can argue!
YAY! Tremblay was very close to making my top five, as was Lively. Funnily enough, they were both my #8.
DeleteLOVE that Rooney made the top spot. I really wanted her to win supporting actress. It didn't even seem like they campaigned for her at all!
ReplyDeleteYeah, as much as I wanted Vikander to win for her incredible year, Mara totally deserved it. I don't understand that campaign at all. Were they even trying for a win?
