ReplyDeleteSo much love here, from Gleeson to Gugu to O'Connell to Mendelson to Fiennes!!! Lead Actress was really strong this year. I see a lot of performances that I haven't even seen yet (Huppert, Vacth, Chastain) and they ranked so high and two of them didn't even make your ballot.
Yay! Glad you love those awesome performances! Hope you check out the largely unnoticed work from Huppert and Vacth.

DeleteMarion Cotillard can really do no wrong, so I'm not surprised to see her listed at number one. I really need to see this one.

DeleteYes! LOVE that you recognized Sienna Miller here. She was amazing in that film. Great call on Vacth, what confident work. Also thrilled that Chastain makes the Top 5. I’ll always love Eleanor Rigby.
ReplyDeleteMiller - now a 2-time CinSpec nominee - is so great in AS. I wish she could've received a surprise Oscar nod. Vacth and Huppert were SO GOOD. My Best Actress category was stacked. Chastain is amazing in Eleanor Rigby, which I really wanted to include in more categories at the CinSpecs.
