  1. Yes! So many great ones here. (That last Star Wars one makes me laugh at how sexed up it was) That 'Why So Serious' poster has to be my all time favorite. I also really enjoyed the character posters for Brick. Those were good ones. Great list!

  3. So many priceless one-sheets here, great work! That Pulp Fiction one though... it'll always have a special place in my heart. It literally looks like a piece of, well, pulp fiction.

  4. Oooh, lots of great ones here Josh. The Exorcist one is so darn eerie, whilst Schindler's List is moving even before we even see the film! I think the simple ones like American Beauty is iconic, it seems that the trend is classic Hollywood posters are to jam as many things it can fit on a page, ahah.

    1. Those posters are very effective, but all for different reasons and in different genres. Love that you singled those out!

  5. Great stuff! Liked your inclusion of Eyes Wide Shut. Such a strange movie as is, but the poster makes you wonder about it so much more.

  6. Great list, Josh. I'm partial to the poster the studio abandoned for The Thing (1982). The one the famed Drew Struzan did is great, but I loved the more bleak icescape design

  7. Great post, Josh! I'm a movie poster maniac, and you reminded me that I need to buy Chinatown's poster for my collection!! This guy I went on a *single* date with was convinced I looked like Jane Fonda from the '60s, and he sent me this poster of her from Barefoot in the Park (which I've never seen), but gotta love a free poster...and it's great! http://bit.ly/1oGBcuM

    1. Haha, thanks man! You should totally do one!

I love that Dark Knight poster. What the Oscar campaigners did with it was ingenious.
