It's been six months since I last updated my top 100 list, so I've done just that on the new page. I've added 14 new films this time.

Films Removed:
Annie Hall, Barry Lyndon, Chinatown, Do the Right Thing, Duel in the Sun, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, High Noon, Hugo, It's a Wonderful Life, Raging Bull, Sabotage, The Seventh Continent, Sunrise, The Tree of Life

  1. Nice to see love for The Wages of Fear, I gave that film a 4.5/5 last year. I'm considered watching the remake The Sorcerer, it's still too soon, so I'll wait.
I've never even heard of Day for Night, I'll have to get on that!
I loved The Tree of Life, but it does have a few confusing storytelling issues, specifically which sibling is which.

    1. I really want to see Sorcerer, but it will be hard to beat The Wages of Fear.

Day for Night is a fictional movie about making a movie. It's a good one. ;)

I love The Tree of Life as well, but it definitely has some problems. Still, it could find its way back on my list in the future.

  2. E.T. and Sunrise are gone!?!?!

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I really need to compile my Top 100, but I tell myself that I'll do that when I finish all of the Fistis...which will probably take my lifetime which means we'll never see a Top 100...

    1. I still LOVE them! When narrowing it down, 100 really isn't a lot of films. There are so many I always leave out.

Yeah, but your list will never be definitive anyway. You should do one. You could update it every five years or something. :)

  3. A.I. Artificial Intelligence would be a masterpiece if it ended with the Haley Joel Osment at the bottom of the ocean repeating 'Make me a real boy'.

Loved the addition of Paris, Texas.

    1. Ha, I actually don't have a problem with A.I.'s ending, but I do understand why it frustrates others.

I just saw Paris, Texas a few months ago. It's sooo good.

  4. Hate to admit it, but I haven't seen any of your new additions and only 3 of your re-adds. I have seen most of your removals and I'll say that with Do the Right Thing and Raging Bull you cut me, Josh. You cut me deep.

    1. Hope you get to check those films out. Ha, I LOVE Do the Right Thing and Raging Bull, but I can only fit so many films in the top 100. ;)

  5. Nice additions here man. Some great films lost the cut, but Day for Night, The Wages of Fear... no argument from me. Love those films.

    1. Thanks man. Glad to hear you're a fan of those films too. Ha, great films always get cut, unfortunately.
