Since my last predictions, The Monuments Men moved to 2014 and The Wolf of Wall Street stayed in 2013. Not much else has changed apart from that. I still see it as a three-horse race between Gravity, 12 Years a Slave and Saving Mr. Banks, with the former two being out in front. Still, American Hustle and The Wolf of Wall Street could make some noise, and Captain Phillips will likely garner a lot of nominations.

Agree the Gravity score should be nominated. Academy usually give Scorsese pictures lots of noms, so you could be on to something there.

Hey, Chris! I'd say the nominees are: "Young and Beautiful" (Gatsby), "I See Fire" (The Hobbit), "Let It Go" (Frozen), "The Moon Song" (Her), and "You and I Ain't Nothing No More" (The Butler). However, "Over the Love" could get in if "Young and Beautiful" is ineligible (doesn't look like that's the case), and The Butler also has "In the Middle of the Night" in the mix. Maybe even "So You Know What It's Like" from Short Term 12 gets in.

DeleteI think that slot is between him and Daniel Bruhl for Rush, but it could go to someone I'm overlooking.
I refused to look at your predictions until I got mine done and posted, so I'm really happy to see we are BOTH predicting Gandolfini and Abdi, as I thought I was the only one ballsy enough to predict both. Let's hope it happens!!!
