Right now, I bet Gene and Roger are debating about a bunch of movies Roger had seen since Gene's passing while eating Steak & Shake which I know was Roger's favorite fast food joint.

I agree with the above comment. If there is an afterlife, I truly hope Roger Ebert is sitting in a Steak & Shake as we speak.He was a brilliant writer, with a unique voice, a true movie lover, and a big inspiration to me. I will miss him.
Me too.I agree with everything you said. He was a great figure in the movie world. When I think "movie critic", I think Roger Ebert. It's a sad day.
He was an institution, and will be missed. Deserves to be mentioned during the oscar's death montage next year. RIP Roger Ebert.
