    1. Not at the moment, but Eyes Wide Shut made my list in 2011.

  2. Nice to see Before Sunset sneak in among all the classics :)
That's pretty high up for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

    1. Yeah, Before Sunset's slipped a bit, but I still love it. It's in my top 25.

I LOVE The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. I could easily put it higher on the list again.

  3. Interesting post! It reveals a lot about your evolution as a film buff. So you lost your love for Citizen Kane? :-)

    1. Thanks! No love lost. It's firmly in my top 50, for sure. :)

  4. Wow, those are some pretty big changes! My top 10 has been more or less the same for the last 2 years.

    1. That's interesting. My top 8 feel pretty solid right now, but my bottom 2 spots can easily change.

  5. I love the evolution of top ten lists too! I really need to rethink mine, although nothing will ever top Jules et Jim for me...

    1. Nice. I probably need to revisit 8 1/2, since it used to be so high on my list. I didn't love as much the last time I watched it, but maybe I'll feel differently the next time.

  6. I've seen 7 out of your current top 10 and 6 of them are in my top 100. Love it.

    1. Thanks. I'd recommend any of the three you haven't seen.

  7. I've seen all of your current top ten. For the hell of it, I'll rank them:

    1) The Apartment
    2) Red
    3) Persona
    4) Casablanca
    5) The Seventh Seal
    6) Blue
    7) The Lovers on the Bridge
    8) The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
    9) The French Connection
    10) Rear Window

I'd give 1-7 an A grade, easily. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly gets a B+ from me, and I like The French Connection, but it's nothing exciting (overly). I hate Rear Window...such a flaccid example of and overindulgent directorly movie.

    1. Love this. Rear Window is probably more a #10 than #9 for me, but it just looked better on the list at #9. For instance, if I cut one film, it'd probably be Rear Window. Oh well. I flip flop on these things. :)

  9. I love how lists evolve as well, and it was really fun to watch your tastes change over time.

Two Bergmans? Shit, that's what I'm talkin' about.

    1. Haha. I could easily put 3 or 4 Bergmans on there, but I don't want to overdue it. ;)
