Now that I've finished this category, I'm considering doing Best Director for the next two Fridays, covering four decades a post. Since most of my Best Picture winners match my Director ones, I don't want to waste eight weeks on that category. However, I can always do one of the categories listed below instead. Let me know in the comments!

Best Art Direction
Best Costume Design
Best Film Editing
Best Makeup
Best Sound
Best Visual Effects
Best Animated Feature Film (only the 2000s)

  1. Awesome to see In The Loop here! I just cannot believe A Beautiful Mind won best screenplay, the script was the worst part of the movie.

    1. Love that film! Yeah, it's hard to believe one of the writers of Batman Forever has an Oscar.

Looks like I'll do editing, unless something changes. :)

  3. Whew, okay, Traffic is here. I’m all set ☺

    Lantana: great choice.

Likewise Adaptation, City of God, Before Sunset, A History, The Departed – fuck it man, everything. We’re spot on here yet again. Amazing.

Seriously, Amores Perros, Memento, Before the Devil, In Bruges, all my top picks.

I agree with Fisti, editing could be fun!

    1. Haha. Knew you'd be worried about Traffic. ;)

Thanks. Love Lantana. More people should see it.

Excellent. If only we could vote for the Oscars.

It looks as if editing will be next. :)

  4. Glad to see In Bruges was at least nominated, same with Memento and Adaptation (last good film of Nic Cage IMO). I've put Before the Devil Knows You're Dead on my Instant Netflix queue, gotta see that one soon!
