  1. wow, you saw Birdman twice, it's not out here until Jan, the trailer looks interesting.
Mission Impossible 1 & 4 are my favorites of the franchise too, 2 and 3 are ok but kind of forgettable, especially MI3 which I can hardly remember at all.
MI2 had some cool John Woo slow motion, I only remember the opening and closing scenes.

    1. I LOVE Birdman. Crazy and wonderful, with fantastic performances all around.

I randomly decided to rewatch the MI series and forgot how great those films are. I enjoyed all of them. :)

  3. Nice picks in there. I will say that you're a way bigger fan of the MI movies than I. To me, the first was too smart fir its own good. Parts 2 & 3 were too dumb. Ghost Protocol was the only one that got it right.

    1. Thanks. I hadn't seen an MI movie since I watched Ghost Protocol in theaters. I was surprised that I enjoyed them so much, but now I consider the MI series one of my favorite franchises. They're just pure entertainment.

  4. I'm assuming the Deep Blue Sea you watched wasn't that horrible shark movie. Was it the Vivien Leigh or Rachel Weisz version? Both of them give terrific performances but the films are heavy going. I was disappointed when Rachel missed being nominated for Best Actress that year, she was in the discussion and I felt she was better than several of the ultimate nominees.

    1. Haha. Actually, it *is* the Deep Blue Sea about the sharks. It was so much fun, a real guilty pleasure. I've not seen the Leigh film, but I'm a fan of the Weisz version. In fact, Weisz is my Best Actress winner for it.
