Tape is a different kind of film, but in a good way. ;)Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08596682195753811295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030627662498151745.post-52195864873869876092012-09-06T20:05:24.866-04:002012-09-06T20:05:24.866-04:00Excellent review -- I love the way you described H...Excellent review -- I love the way you described Hawke's performance. That, in itself, is enough to sell me on this movie. It sounds like a dark and complex movie -- it's probably right up my alley. Isn't Linklater the director of The Visitor? This sounds like a very different kind of film.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030627662498151745.post-47984271970232024002012-09-05T18:55:36.269-04:002012-09-05T18:55:36.269-04:00It's one of Linklater's best films. Hawke could possibly get a double Fisti's nod for this and Training Day.

By the way, I saw Love in the Afternoon over the weekend and loved it! It's my #3 of the year, and will go on my updated top 100 list. Hepburn gets a third Best Actress win for it, and I've updated my '50s Actress post accordingly. (It hasn't changed any of my winner stats though.)Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08596682195753811295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030627662498151745.post-66874860253766149442012-09-04T16:04:30.331-04:002012-09-04T16:04:30.331-04:00Everyone that I know who has seen this says it is ...Everyone that I know who has seen this says it is amazing.
