  1. So I watched the Three Colors movies in one day last month, and tbh, I felt kinda underwhelmed by them :/

(I think my expectations of them were raised to high by how much you adore them lol)

They were subtle and I like subtlety, but it was the kind of subtlety where things start bordering on uninteresting, so... Yeah.

Also is it weird that What was most yet least favorite out of the three? xD

    1. I can understand that. I wouldn't exactly call the trilogy riveting, but I'm fascinated by those little films.

White is my least favorite, though I could honestly list all 3 films as a tie for my favorite film.

    2. What about them do you really like tho? Honestly I think my favorite part of all of them was the music... Um, if I had to throw together a "trilogy" of films that would say are my favorites I'd have to say atm, Tree of Life, Cries and Whispers, and The Double Life of Veronica. I think about those all on a near daily basis now haha :)

    3. I love the intimate nature of the films and the subtle storytelling of Kieslowski's work. The films also feature haunting music, beautiful cinematography, and stellar, nuanced performances. They're some of the first films that cross my mind when I think of cinema. I was floored when I saw Blue. Then I watched (and had the same reaction to) White the next day and Red the day after that. I've never watched one film without watching the trilogy back-to-back. It's hard to explain, but I just think they're a stunning achievement by Kieslowski.

    4. I think I had a stronger reaction to The Double Life, but that's just me. I did like how he subverted all the expectations of the different generas they were from tho. (weather that works or not is hard to say however xD)

    6. I might've had a stronger reaction to The Double Life if I'd seen it first, but I went into Blue cold. I'd never even heard of Kieslowski at that point. LOVE The Double Life, though.
